LEGIT GREEK! So yummy! I was so happy to stop in here again and the food was amazing! I came here once a few years ago when I was visiting Portland. After living here for a few years and having many disappointing experiences around town, I was so excited to eat this food! The lamb gyros were so perfect, and I don't know where they get their tomatoes but all the produce was amazingly fresh. I usually hate tomatoes but I'm glad I ordered it as it came. Lots of feta! The Greek salad was amazing. Ordered the medium and it was more than enough for me and husband to share. This is your real deal Greek salad! No lettuce, only tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, kalamata olive and feta, with dressing. I could have used more olives and less dressing but that's being really nit picky because it was seriously awesome.
We also tried the Dolmas, or stuffed grape leaves. A personal favorite of mine. The veggie ones were certainly on point, cold and crisp as expected. They also have a meat version that's served warm and with cheese I think? I really liked it but I still prefer the cold veggie. The grape leaves are tender and not stemmy, and everything is well seasoned.
I can't wait to go back... good Greek is hard to find in Portland but it's right here! Totally understated dive bar kinda vibe but I'm in love with it. The staff was great too. Not many people working but the dude came and checked on us several times throughout the meal. -

The meal I had here yesterday will go down on my top three worst restaurant meals - ever.
My husband and I went in a 4:00. There were a few people in the bar but no one eating in the restaurant area. That might have been a hint.
We ordered the same thing - Gyros "special" which meant for $4.50 extra we got Greek salad and Greek fries. I guess I should say we were SUPPOSE to get those two extra items. When the guy brought our food baskets to our dirty table - and they ALL were dirty in spite of no customers - there was no Greek salad, either.
I might have spoken up but frankly I was so dubious of the food - on sight alone, I didn't ask.
I'll spare the details and keep it to saying - I can't find one positive thing to say about this meal. Well, except that we didn't get food poisoning.
I've been coming here for over 30 years - back when it was Fotis Greek Deli - everything was beyond awesome back in those days. But I hadn't been here in the past two years. I don't know what happened - but whatever. I'll never go back. Yeah - for what amounted to $14 each we got a mystery meat gyros in a stale pita - one slice of tomato on it
and two crumbles of feta - and the Greek fries, which were literally inedible. We also got a small pop. Okay - the pop was fine. And the ice... -

Have had their gyros delivered to me multiple times. In fact in one week, I had delivery from here 4 times just so my friends could try their gyro too. The lamb and beef tasted delicious, and the sauce...the feta...everything was portioned nicely (even when you order the gyro with extra meat) and spot on for flavor. The Greek fries are huge potato wedges and surprisingly were excellent after having to be a delivered meal. Wasn't disappointed. The falafel sandwich was delicious, not the best falafel I've had, but whatever their recipe is, made for a good sandwich. Haven't dined in, maybe will have to that sometime.

Pondo Gyro with fries and Greek sauce. I get a craving for Gyros from time to time and besides one other place in town, this is an equal favorite spot! Parking sucks but if you find a spot you're in for a lunchtime treat! Soccer is all over the Many huge TVs and the overall atmosphere is casual and sporty. Service was prompt and polite and the food will stuff you to the brim so take your time and enjoy it! Free water cups are a plus as you will need to wash it all down as it is very rich. The Baklava smells amazing though I've never tried it here before.

Came here for a Timbers watch party. AWESOME experience. Food was excellent. Beer was excellent. Service was excellent, even with the place literally packed (no seat available). Atmosphere was great. Definitely a place you could bring kids. They even had a changing table in the restroom. We will definitely return.
